Tobias Billström is Sweden’s former Minister for Foreign Affairs and now a lecturer on geopolitical issues. He has extensive experience from both domestic and international politics and played a key role in Sweden’s NATO membership process.
In September 2025, Tobias will release his new book “Skarpt läge” (Albert Bonniers Förlag). With his unique insider perspective on Sweden’s NATO application, he recounts decisive decisions and intense negotiations, influence campaigns targeting Sweden, and the changing role that awaits us within NATO. The book is described as a behind-the-scenes story of power struggles, diplomacy, and geopolitics.
Following the lecture, there will be a conversation with Eva Hamilton, journalist, board professional, and former CEO of SVT.
